The idea of an AI-generated Questions & Answers feature was conceived several years ago.
– We have always seen a need to transform editorial text into questions and answers, but the advanced technology required to develop the solution was not available before, explains Johan Albertsson, CEO of rek.ai.
Throughout 2023, rek.ai has followed the development of generative AI in services like Chat GPT and Midjourney – tools used to create something new with artificial intelligence. As the technology rapidly evolved and matured, we were finally able to develop the new feature.
– We already had all the pieces in mind but needed to wait for the technology to become good enough. Once it did, we combined generative AI with our expertise and quickly launched the new service, says Johan Albertsson.
Personalizes and Recommends Questions and Answers
Rek.ai's expertise lies in allowing AI to recommend and personalize website content for visitors. By analyzing various data points, such as time of day, season, user preferences, and behaviors, the AI can effectively predict which content is most relevant for each individual visitor. This enables a more engaging and tailored user experience – something increasingly important in today's society where many are short on time and want to find information quickly and easily.
With the new feature, questions and answers can thus be generated and personalized for each visitor's individual needs.
– Questions and answers are a great complement to a text and can make it easier for the reader to quickly grasp the information. Instead of reading an entire block of text, three quick questions and answers can summarize the article, says Johan Albertsson.
Positive Reactions from Several Industries
During the Sitevision Days in October, rek.ai finally presented its new tool to visitors. The reception was incredibly positive.
– What we noticed was that almost every segment had its own angle on how to use the feature. An industrial company sees that their complex documentation can be simplified, an intranet manager sees great benefits in clarifying information, and a political party sees an advantage in rephrasing long texts so visitors can grasp the essentials. It's fantastic!
Many companies have already signed up for the waiting list for Questions & Answers. The plan now is to help as many as possible on the list get started while evaluating the service and adjusting any issues. After that, the feature will be launched to the general public.

How Questions & Answers Works:
- Rek.ai scans a text written by an editor and generates several questions and answers based on the content.
- The editor then approves the questions that fit best.
- The questions are then recommended to different visitors based on their parameters.
- The questions appear alongside the text but can also be presented in the website's search function when the visitor searches for information on a specific topic.
